Twentieth Anniversary of the Zapatista Uprising

Twenty years ago, an indigenous community in Mexico began a revolt that demanded justice, education, health, democracy, and much more. Latino USA looks back at the uprising that created a semi-autonomous area in the state of Chiapas, led by the EZLN, or Zapatistas.

Gracias for remembered the Zapatistas!
I was recently on their community on their “escuelita” and I agree that they lack many things… But at the same time they are better than many other parts if Mexico and Latin America!
