Buzz: The Sound Artist Behind The Movies

Buzz Moran, host of KLRU’s Austin’s “What’s That, Buzz?” has made a career out of sounds both familiar and unrealistic. He does foley work for films as well as sound design for live shows. Latino USA host Maria Hinojosa talks to Buzz about the film scene in Austin and plays a game where she tries to guess the mystery sounds Buzz conjures using every day objects.

Mexican Institute of Sound (MIS; or Instituto Mexicano Del Sonido) is an electronic music project created by Mexico City-based DJ and producer Camilo Lara. Lara is the former president of EMI Mexico. He is part of a growing Mexican electronica movement, encouraging fusions of folk and more traditional music with modern sounds.
